Rates are UK national (non-London): central London and constrained urban sites typically run dearer — adjust the labour, plant and access lines in the build-up accordingly.

Roofline & rainwater goods
per m² · supply & lay
£58 – £135 / m
What is it

The supply and fixing of a new uPVC roofline & rainwater-goods run to the eaves — fascia, soffit & bargeboard boards fixed to the rafter feet and eaves overhang, a 112 mm half-round gutter run to falls on brackets, and a 68 mm downpipe fixed with clips & shoe — priced per metre of eaves run. uPVC roofline is the mainstream UK budget system: maintenance-free boards and rainwater goods to the perimeter every pitched roof terminates against. This rate prices the roofline SUPPLY & FIX only — the roof structure, the roof covering & its linear details, the decoration of the fascia and the scaffold are separate rates. The rate carries three operations:

  1. Fascia & bargeboard — fixed to the rafter feet along the eaves and to the gable verges, over a ventilated eaves detail.
  2. Soffit — the soffit board fixed to close the eaves overhang, with continuous ventilation to BS 5250.
  3. Rainwater goods — a half-round gutter run to falls on fascia brackets with outlets & unions, and the downpipe fixed with clips & shoe.

3 key cost drivers
Roofline configuration & access
A simple straight two-storey eaves run of fascia, soffit, gutter & downpipe is the priced default. Box, sprocketed, curved or deep-overhang eaves, bargeboards to gable verges, more corners & downpipe runs, and restricted access all slow the gang and lift the rate per metre; a fascia-and-gutter-only or gutter-renewal run is lighter. The London & South-East market runs dearer. It is a key driver of the labour per m; region rides this note, not a dropdown.
Roofline material spec
A standard white replacement uPVC fascia, soffit & half-round rainwater goods is the priced default. A basic contract / capping-over grade is cheaper; a woodgrain or coloured board with deep-flow, ogee or cast-iron-effect rainwater goods runs dearer. It is the driver of material cost — the published band already spans it. Materials are about half the per-metre rate, so the spec is a moderate lever, and there is no product-scenario switch here, so no calculator: the band is the answer.
Location
London and the South East typically add around 20% to labour.
